Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Policy
Governing Law: United States (Delaware)
This Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Policy (“Policy”) outlines Qont’s approach to maintaining operations and recovering from significant disruptions. This Policy applies to all Qont systems, infrastructure, hardware processes, cloud services, and business functions worldwide.
Qont provides its services on an AS-IS basis. This Policy does not create guarantees or service-level commitments.
1. Purpose
The purpose of this Policy is to establish a framework for identifying, managing, and responding to events that may disrupt Qont’s operations. Qont aims to maintain continuity of essential functions and restore critical services using best-effort methods.
2. Scope
This Policy covers:
cloud and infrastructure systems
risk computing platforms
operational tools and internal business systems
hardware operations
customer-facing service components
data storage and logging systems
support and administrative functions
All Qont personnel involved in operational, technical, and administrative functions must adhere to this Policy.
3. Continuity Objectives
Qont seeks to:
maintain availability of critical functions
reduce operational interruptions
restore services as quickly as reasonably possible
minimise the impact of disruptions on users and operations
Qont does not guarantee uptime, recovery times, or uninterrupted service.
4. Data Backup Approach
Qont may maintain backups where operationally necessary.
Backups:
are performed on a best-effort basis
may not include all data
may not be available in all circumstances
do not guarantee restoration or completeness
Backup processes are intended to support internal restoration efforts and are not a promise of data preservation to users.
5. Disaster Recovery Activation
Disaster recovery procedures may be activated when:
a significant disruption impacts critical systems or infrastructure
normal operational processes cannot restore service
security, availability, or integrity concerns require elevated response
Activation is determined by Qont leadership and technical personnel.
6. Roles and Responsibilities
Qont leadership and designated technical personnel are responsible for:
maintaining continuity and recovery processes
identifying and assessing service disruptions
executing restoration procedures
coordinating internal communication as necessary
working with third-party providers where applicable
documenting significant recovery actions
Personnel must follow established procedures and escalate issues promptly.
7. Recovery Procedures
Recovery procedures may include:
rerouting traffic to alternate infrastructure
restoring system configurations
applying patches or updates
deploying backup resources
reinitialising affected components
verifying stability before restoring normal operations
Procedures may vary depending on the nature and severity of the disruption.
8. Communication During Disruptions
Qont may provide updates during major disruptions when feasible.
Qont does not guarantee:
response times
communication frequency
availability of specific communication channels
Information may be shared only when accurate, appropriate, and operationally possible.
9. Third-Party Providers
Qont may rely on third-party cloud, infrastructure, or hardware providers for aspects of continuity and recovery.
Availability or recovery may be dependent on these providers’ capabilities and limitations.
10. Limitations
Nothing in this Policy:
guarantees service availability
creates service-level obligations
modifies Qont’s AS-IS service model
ensures data recovery or restoration
establishes contractual warranties
Users are responsible for independent backups of their own data where applicable.
11. Governing Law
This Policy is governed exclusively by the laws of the United States, with Delaware as the jurisdiction for all related matters.
12. Amendments
Qont may update this Policy at any time.
Use of Qont services following an update constitutes acceptance of the latest version.
